A powerful song about the all-powerful Creator of the universe! If He created it, He can sustain it.  That means He is sustaining your life and mine as well.

And He told us not to worry, because we can't worry and trust at the same time.

Founded in 1987, CBMW is the flagship organization for the complementarian movement. CBMW exists to help Christians and churches discover God’s good plan in Christ for men, women, families, and congregations.

Watch these videos to gain a better perspective on God's view of men, women, families and the church.  Each is only about 15 minutes long. They are from a conference held back in April and they are very encouraging.

Usually, I post items specific to music & worship, but I wanted to go beyond that this time. Plus, I'm learning that my worship of God will be richer and fuller as I learn more about Him. And as I learn more about Him, I desire to obey Him more, which is worship.  And then my songs will flow from my heart and my life, not just what I do on Sundays.

 A great album to purchase online or get the CD at the CBC Resource Center.  One of my favorite albums yet.

There is a second volume available as well.  These albums are congregational hymns with just piano accompaniment recorded at the Together for the Gospel conference in 2008.

By the way, the 2016 conference will take place next week.

Narrow-minded: Nothing But the Blood

Narrow-minded.  Often believers in Christ are called narrow-minded.  We believe there is only one way to God.  Only one name under heaven by which we must be saved.  The name of Jesus.  His name represents who He is and what He did.  He died and his blood washed us white as snow.

Only one way?  Narrow-minded. Yes. God made only one way. But I'll tell you what...I'm glad God made any way at all! Oh the mercy of our holy God that He would make a way for all to be saved. He did have to, but He did.

I'm thankful for Jesus Christ and his precious blood that saves. Watch this video of the Norton Hall Band from Southern Seminary singing "Nothing But the Blood."

Playing Games at the Foot of the Cross

It's time to get serious about serving the Lord. It is not a casual thing. It's not a hobby. 

It is life and death.  The death of our Lord that we may live.

Serving the Lord is about every breath, every moment.  Ready to be used by Him.  Ready to let God change us and change the world through us.  Ready to receive joy and blessing as we serve wholeheartedly.

I'm so thankful for what He did for me.

Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart 

and do not lean on your own understanding.

In ALL your ways acknowledge Him 

and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5,6

Honor the Lord with Your Vote

It's time to honor the Lord our God with our votes.

I don't normally post anything other than music here, but Super Tuesday is tomorrow and it's a big deal.  Bigger than it ever has been.

To all those voting in the Primaries on Tuesday, please take some time to seriously consider the lasting consequences of this election.  It is unlike any other. Do not follow the biased polls and news networks.  Do some homework on the candidates and above all, seek the Lord in prayer.
